We should be sending one of our own Maui bloggers (or three) to #BlogHer2012 (BlogHer’s 8th Annual Conference in New York).  My personal accounting of the Maui bloggers says that we have an inordinate amount of real talent and they’re all women.

Maui has some awesome female bloggers and social media gals that simply rock!   I’m a strong believer that we need to send out our best and let them shed a favorable light upon Maui.  Imagine the impact if Hawaii sent out our bloggers to spread the word about what we’re doing over here in the middle of the Pacific.  To this end I’m considering starting a blog highlighting the important impact of woman-bloggers on Maui.  I’d like to get the support and participation from the community of bloggers on island once this gets off the ground.

Purpose, who needs purpose.  Actually, Id like to set the stage for growth of this niche in blogging, and especially how it impacts tourism here on Maui.  Ideally, we’d promote these rockstars and put them on the big map so they’ll get international exposure and spread the word about what a great place Maui is to live and work.  But that’s just my take.  I hope to put together a team of women to manage and promote this blog.
